Special Projects
Canal Engineering Ltd has a wealth of experience which has led to the successful completion of many bespoke projects over recent years.
The natural enthusiasm for real engineering solutions found within the Company leads to a structured and focussed approach that has resulted in Canal working closely with many clients to develop original ideas for both existing and new markets.
The Company’s philosophy is based on offering the very best practical engineering advice for each required application, making sure at all times that the original design concept presented to the business for consideration is not compromised. Canal Engineering takes pride in the ability to become involved at ground level in any proposed ‘out of the box’ project in order to assist in the practical development of the client’s desired solution.
The bespoke nature and approach of Canal’s engineering business has enabled the Company to be involved in many prestigious projects, and this in turn has provided a continuous interest and strong development curve for our business, resulting in an innovative approach and real client satisfaction.
Technical sales personnel are involved at the earliest possible stage of any such project, as are the Company’s detail design team, who develop engineering drawings, samples and prototypes as required to ensure a smooth transition into manufacture and eventual project completion.
The Company also works on many turnkey projects in the food industry, which by their very nature are specially designed items requiring significant engineering design input prior to commencement. In such cases, Canal work direct with the client involved and provides a full project management service from concept to final commissioning.
For Canal Engineering Ltd, the answer really is ‘yes’ –
whatever the question!

Canal Engineering announces its latest large project - the Millenium Dome.
In October 2006 we received notification that we have won the contract to supply handrails and balustrades for the Millenium Dome refit to the tune of a quarter of a million pounds. This high profile order shows that Canal is a recognised leader in the architectural metalwork business. Canal will be one of many contractors on a site that promises to be one of the busiest in the country for the coming months.
Canal Engineering is pleased to announce the recent supply of a centre-piece staircase to the new Nanette Lepore flagship store in London.
The design called for a stylish feature staircase able to be integrated into the architect’s bold vision for the premises.
Nanette (www.nanettelepore.com) has many celebrity followers including Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Longoria and so the image portrayed by her stores is paramount.
