We are proud to announce that we have recently received Principle Contractor accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors.
SAFE CONTRACTOR ACCREDITATION
SAFEcontractor is a scheme designed to help industry improve its safety record and our accreditation is testament to our commitment to high and uniform safety standards across the business. As a company we ensure that all of our contractors are health and safety accredited and are meeting legal requirements.
The SAFEcontractor scheme is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to many sectors in which Canal Engineering operates; food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contract services.
John Kinge, Head of Risk at SAFEcontractor states, "Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Canal Engineering has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector."
Doctor Derrick Hulett, John Lord Group Health & Safety Manager added, “At Canal Engineering we have a proud history of providing customers with quality metal fabrications designed to their specific needs. We are also proud of our installation service; our customers can be confident that when Canal Engineering employees are on site, all relevant health and safety legislation and guidance will be understood and complied with.”
